I have very oily skin in my t-zone, especially when the weather gets warmer. I bought the Murad Mattefier and tried it during some unseasonably warm days.
It has a thick consistency, but I found it easy to apply right after washing my face, while my skin was a little damp. The scent reminded me a little of Tea Tree oil. Strangely, my skin didn't look matte immediately, but after a few minutes, it did. I used it only on my oily parts, and used my regular moisturizer in the rest of my face.
My make-up went on smoothly over it, and I felt like I needed less make- up with it on. It kept me matte for 10 hours, which is a feat, considering I'd normally need to blot within a 1/2 hr.
Undortunately, it will be returned, because it clogged my pores. I am very break-out prone and have to be really careful about what products I use. My skin was perfectly clear for months before I used it, and cleared up when I stopped. It was the only new product I added, and I only broke out where I applied it.
Boo. I loved the way it made my skin look when it was on. I have a few minor old acne scars on my cheeks, and it made them undetectable, even without makeup.
