Randoms
It's Friday! I'm inordinately excited about it considering I don't really have any plans for the weekend. But the weather is going to be beautiful, and I'm really excited to have some time to do nothing. Plus work has been filling me with rage lately, so it will be nice to have a couple days not to think about it.
My sister is 9 weeks pregnant (yeah!) with her second. My niece, who just turned 3, doesn't know yet, because they don't want to worry about having to explain it to her if something bad happens. So yesterday, my niece says to my sister "Mommy, why's your tummy so big today? Maybe it's because you have a baby growing in there!" Isn't that crazy? She picks up on everything.

I have to work tomorrow, then go to our friends' 6 year old's birthday party. The rest of the weekend will be spent searching for a new bathroom mirror and light fixture for the kitchen. very exciting.
We're going to a live concert downtown tonight. Everybody comes and brings blankets and chairs and picnics, and kids run around like hooligans. It's fun.
Tomorrow, we're doing some yard work and hopefully never leaving the house.
I am going to a baby shower tomorrow for a friend but I am pretty sure I will know not a single person there. We do not have any mutual friends so I am nervous it is going to be very awkward. I am taking my mom out for her birthday though that day too so at least I have a legit reason to leave if is running long.

I slept on my arm funny and it's still numb and it's really getting annoying.

I finished antibiotics for strep this week, and I feel like it's coming back. The same thing happened last time I had it.
I started New Rules of Lifting for WOmen yesterday and I feel great today. Sore, but it's a good sore.

It's supposed to be nice this weekend, so I may do some gardening. But I haven't spent much time just being still this week, so I'll probably just end up just watching TV instead. I'm going to go hang out with my parents on Sunday.

I think I'm going to apply for a supervisory position that opened up within my company, but at a different location. Not totally sure I really want more responsibility or more importantly the bureaucratic stuff that goes along with it, but extra money is always nice. I figured it can't hurt to apply. Plus I'd be able to carpool with my husband so it'd save us on some gas and be pretty convenient.
I'm doing a 5K on Sun - just walking though, but it's for a good cause. Hopefully the weather will be nice.

My nephew's 3rd birthday party is Sunday afternoon. I can't believe he's 3 already.
My really random random is that someone on my old neighborhood's message board posted about a new Sherwin Williams paint store opening about 5 miles from another one in the neighborhood. Between Home Depot, Lowe's and the paint department at Wal Mart, I can't believe Sherwin Williams still has any stores, much less enough sales volume to be opening new ones.
We lost our softball game last night but it was fun and now I am in pain again.
I got home at 11pm last night to find my fridge 70 degrees and everything unit was bad. Not what I wanted to deal with but THANK GOD there was no wine in there. I would have flipped if my wine went bad.
Im going to see my family this weekend- nephews baseball games, lunch with the girls for my sisters birthday and cake with the whole family for my sister and dads birthday. Ummm cake.
Yay for NROLFW Kay! I'm starting again next week. Don't forget to log what weights you lifted for the first one (and measurements/pictures if you're into that sort of thing).
Connor had his first swim class yesterday and he LOVED it. So freakin cute.
I am meticulous about keeping workout notes, so fortunately I know how much I'd been lifting in some of these exercises in the past. I downloaded their training log but I feel like it could be simpler, so I may make a log of my own.

New job is kicking my butt, but in a good way.
My child pulled off one of those sticks that are on blinds to twist them open or closed. At first it was funny watching her run around the house with it. Until she hit me right in the knee cap with it. Not so awesome. Neither was the ensuing tantrum she threw because I took it away.

It's between a Hyundai Elantra and a Sonata. I want the Elantra but I might be able to get a better deal on a Sonata and they typically have some in stock, whereas the Elantra usually is like pay and wait, and I want instant gratification.
Very excited for Saturday. Nothing during the day, except for relaxing with Trav and Gwen, but then dinner out with 4 of my favorite girls from college, one is coming down from RI for it... sushi and martinis. Yay!
Sunday have to work, but its a super nice brunch and I get fed, so that's not so bad.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD
