Thank you.

I posted this on the knot local board also, but maybe I'll get more responses here.
My family and I will be heading up that way for the holiday weekend-
does anyone have good restaurant recommendations? We are pretty much
open to anything, but would prefer non-Chili's/Applebees type chain
places. Thanks :-)
Re: Albuquerque Ladies
What type of food do you like - American, french, New Mex, etc.? Are you looking for fancy sit down meals, more casual places, something in between? where will you be staying and how far do you want to travel between home & resteraunt.
Albuquerque hasn't been over-saturated by chains - there are tons of local eateries. In Nob Hill, try Nob Hill Grill (haute American), Yanni's (Greek), Zinc (pub to haute cuisine), Brassaire Provenance (french bistro), Geckos (tapas), Ragin' Shrimp (Cajun/Seafood), Shogun (Sushi). Near UNM you have Dragon Cafe (it might be closed again), Chocolate Bakery, El Patio (Mexican), Annapurna (Ayurvedic Indian), Raosi (Goan/Indian), and Route 66 Diner. Downtown you have Lindy's, Capos, Gold St Cafe, Slate St Cafe, Sushihama, Amerasia. In Old Town you have Antquity, High Noon, Seasons, Church St Cafe, Durans, Route 66 Malt Shop. The North Valley and Corralles also have some great places. ANd tehre is always Range Cafe.
They showed this place on Diner Drives and Dives this week.
Looks SO good

What would we do without Flame??? She hit all my faves, but I wanted to mention Sadie's. You either love it or hate it, and the only reason I've ever heard of people hating it is b/c of the wait time for a table (I've waited up to 2 hrs)...but I think it's worth it, although you can now eat in the bar and if you go at a non-busy time it's easy to get a table there (I think we went at 2 last Sunday and got a table in the bar w/o any problems).
Mmmmmm...The Range. I'm craving huevos now.
