Has anyone ever taken the ferry from Athens to Santorini Greece? Just wondering if it's comparable to flying price wise. I know it takes 8-9hours but if it runs at night it might be an option for me.
Thanks,
Beth
Re: Santorini Greece
I would also fly. We only took the ferry because we went from Athens to Naxos first, then on to Santorini afterwards. We flew back from Santorini to Athens.
The flights weren't that expensive from what I recall, and definitely worth the premium over the ferry given the time savings.
We few from Athens to Mykonos, then took the ferry in between Mykonos and Santorini and then flew back from Santorini to Athens.
As a PP pointed out, I didn't want to waste all that time on the ferry when I could be enjoying it on the island.
