Baby Shower Gift -- what am I forgetting?
I'm going to a friend's shower Sunday and had the idea to make useful goody bags of things she, her DH and baby will need at the beginning. This is what I have so far:
Bag 1: mom in hospital
hair ties
wet wipes for face/hands
travel toothbrush
shampoo
lotion
chapstick
trevel deodorant
nipple cream
m&m's
Bag 2: Dad at hospital
Sports Illustrated
toothbrush
deodorant
candy
gatorade
shampoo
Bag 3: Baby
plain onesies
plain socks
shampoo/body wash (johnson's because this is my favorite smell -- clean baby smell)
purell
Bag 4: Mom home from hospital
ibuprofen
stool softener
maxi pads
breast pads
tucks pads
the numbing spray stuff
Anything else you can think of?
Stroller Pushing,Doctor Respecting, Full Time Daycare Paying, Alone Time Appreciating,Boundary Setting Momma
Jenny McCarthy = Former Playmate and MTV host
Pediatrician = Doctor with extensive experience and education on children.
Bumpies = Don't get me started!
I know who I get my health advice from!

Love this idea!
For the baby one you could add those mittens. Mags scratched her face as soon as she was born so those were key for us for the first few weeks.
For the mom maybe comfy socks for the hospital? I know they wanted me to have socks with the grips on the bottom when I was walking around and I hated the ones the gave me!
This is so sweet Maria! I've been to plenty of baby showers and have never thought of this.
When my sister had her baby I bought her soft comfy socks to wear. They were in the hospital a few days and she loved them. Otherthan that I think youR list is good.

You should add a roll of quarters for the vending machine. And maybe one of those sleep shirt things for the baby instead of the onesies. I found them much easier to use at first. Something like this:

I would add a soft headband for Mom. I wore one the time I was in the hospital and for many weeks after when I was too tired/lazy to do anything with my hair.
Very cute idea for a gift!
I think this is such a great idea and your bags look pretty complete!
One of the few things we used for baby in the hospital was our own receiving blankets because the hospital ones are pretty starchy/washed in harsh chemicals.
Maybe some sort of snack for dad, like some nutrition bars, pretzels, chips or something...
Any reason why you got toothbrushes but not toothpaste... just curious but you have a great list!!
I think thtats such a great idea!!
Thanks for your ideas. I already had some of these things (headbands, toothpaste, etc.) and just forgot it on the list. I'm excited!
