I admit I'm not a book buff, however when I do read I tend to be immersed in stories about love & drama. So when I heard about this book I was a little more than interested in buying it.
Since its aka "mommy porn" I thanked my lucky stars for the privacy of Amazon. I will quietly chatter about it to my girlfriends though. I picked up the first book today...its coming in the beginning of may.
I also heard through the blogosphere that Universal picked it up.
Has anyone read this here? WDYT?

Haha. I know I'm going to be in the minority here but Ian Somerhalder doesn't do it for me.
I just finished 50 Shades of Crap last night. I wasn't going to read it but curiosity got the best of me. The writing is terrible and the sex scenes were just as bad.
It's not like I even have a problem with erotica novels with BDSM (I loved The Sleeping Beauty books), it was just the writing. Plus I found Ana to be SO annoying but I felt the same way about Bella so it makes sense.

I read the series and it sucked. I was so annoyed with how often the phrase "Laters, baby" was used.
If you want a similar, but better written book, I recommend Bared to You by Sylvia Day.

The fascination and hype surrounding this thing is nothing short of fuckingbaffling. I love a good dash of kink, but this isn't even good.
And as far as the movie rights, it doesn't have a plot! More than that, how can it even be released by anyone other than Vivid, Hustler, or a um... studio... along those lines?
