I am plus size and really prefer to not show my arms. I would like to wear this dress to my friends beach wedding in Puerto Vallarta, I believe its pretty casual, do you think this dress it too casual? If you do like it, how do I accessorize?

thank you!
Re: What do you think of this dress?
NMS. I don't like the stripes on the bottom.
ETA: Okay, sorry my initial reaction is just to the title of your post. But I don't like it for a wedding. It looks too busy and distracting when all eyes should be on the bride.
Why do I get a feeling this is a spam post!?!!
Sorry, its just that lately the boards have been getting spammed so much! Usually those posters will give a link in their first post too! FWIW, I don't think the dress is hideous.. I like the cut/style but not the print.
I think it's cute and I love the cut but I don't like that stripe at the bottom, it's really throwing me off. I really like the cut the most, and the pattern is just okay but I have been known to go for something that fits/drapes well even if I'm not crazy about the pattern.
I would keep the accessories light since there's a lot going on. I might do chunky earrings and strappy sandals.
I agree with the pp about the stripe at the bottom - it really doesn't go with the dress. It's not awful, but I'd keep looking.
Not sure what size you are and your price range, but Nordstrom has a lot of plus size dresses with sleeves that would be really pretty for a beach wedding.

If you wanted to order from Torrid I like this option better than the dress in the OP.
I agree with PPs. The style/cut and overall pattern is working, but that silly striped section is just ruining it (why did they do that!?!? LOL). This one is similar, without the stripe:

OP, The dress you linked isnt terrible but isnt the best either. Even for a casual beach wedding I feel like that style of dress, esp. with that pattern, almost looks more like a beach cover-up than a dress but thats JMO. I like the dresses Bimbi linked better and they seem to fit with the style you like too. Another option that you might try is this site: http://www.eshakti.com/default.aspx
I've never bought from it but I know another poster posted the link for it the other day and what I really liked about it was it has free customization. I am plus size also and really dont like showing my arms or dresses that are shorter than knee length (which I have a hard time finding) this site allows you to modify a lot of dresses to add different sleeves, necklines and hem-lengths for free! Plus they seem pretty affordable. I plan on ordering from them for the next event I need a dress for. HTH!
