I need to be an AW for a second
I just PR'd at a local 5K! Seriously PR'd. My previous PR from December was somewhere around 32, and I've been seeing my times drop on training runs all winter. Today was my first spring 5K, and (drumroll)...27:16!
I know it's not super-fast compared to some of you speedy ladies, but it's really damn good for me! I never thought I'd be south of 30. Ever. I ran a sub 30 5K once before...when I was 13. It feels great.
My first 5K (as an adult) was October 2010. I finished in 43:22. It's really cool to see how far I've come in a year and a half.
Okay, AW over.
