I ordered a spibelt but just sent it back this week - the only way I could keep it from bouncing/riding up my mid section was by using my hip bone to keep it in an awkward position... And then I got some lovely chafing on that side of my leg! Anyway, I would love to have something to hold my cell phone, gels, race bib and kleenex for long runs and races.
I've been looking at this - http://www.ifitnessinc.com/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=10
But I'm really not sure if I trust it to stay in place and not bounce. I'm the type of runner that gets really annoyed by things rubbing or bouncing....
OR I could order a bondi band armband - http://www.bondiband.com/armbands-wristbands/
I'm thinking I could make it work for me, but it obviously wouldn't serve as a catch all for the junk I want to bring with me... But I like that the belt has a waterproof pouch, since it always seems to rain during the 25K I'm training for!
Thoughts/opinions??
Re: Need opinions on ordering a belt vs. armband
Riverbank?
I love my Nathan Speed 2 belt, but it's a water belt (two bottles). I rely mostly on my shorts for pocket space. There is just enough room for my Droid and a few random just-in-case items (anti-chafe, eye drops) in my Speed 2, if I take the phone out of its case and use a mini Ziploc bag around it. That's exactly what I'm planning to do for my race in a week. The rest of my goodies--Gu, tissues, beans, band-aids, blister cover--get tucked into my three pockets, and my number gets pinned on wherever.
