It was great!
Waiting for the start was pretty heinous (I was so cold that my nips hurt! lol), but the run itself was great.
I took it easier than normal because I was running with a friend who isn't a big runner so I finished 3 mins slower than my last 8k, but I felt absolutely fantastic the whole time.
Sorry yours was so hot, OMG. I cannot run in the heat like that. Can NOT.
An 8k? That's exciting. I've never done one of those before. Sorry your nips were cold. I'm not a fan of the heat but try and run during the hottest part of the day in the spring/summer because my races are always during the coolest parts of the day. I'm always pleasantly surprised with the time difference that comes with a 10-20 degree drop.
That's probably a good strategy, but I'm just not tough enough.
We're moving to high altitude, so I'm planning to do races whenever I come back to visit at sea level and kick ass. lol
When visiting our friends in Colorado I decided it would be a beautiful scenic run. HAH....not fun.
Yup. Our bedroom furniture is still the set I had growing up, which was a hand-me-down from when my mom was growing up. I just can't find anything I like enough to replace it, especially given the prices.
I'm also about to pay $1000 to re-upholster a couch we bought on craigslist 8 years ago because we are never going to find anything else we like as much.
