I will always consider myself from Colorado, regardless how long I've been gone. I think DH will feel the same way about Arizona.
Eta: as for the why- I was born and raised there and it has a special place in my heart. Plus Colorado is awesome-sauce. DH said because its where he lived as child and grew up.
I changed my name
Missouri.
I was born in KS, but we moved to MO when I was a toddler. We lived in MO until DH and I were PCSed. Our goal is to stay in NC for the long haul, but we'll always be Missourians.
I'll always consider myself from Vegas.
Why? Because I was born and raised there.
I'm claiming MO too.
While we were all over as a young child, most of my adolescence and young adulthood was there so that's home. It's also where my mamma still is, which is super important.

I was born in Tampa, FL, lived in Alabama, Arizona, Utah, Texas and now Nevada.
I'm a Texan y'all.
Represent! I include both Missouri and Arkansas. But I usually just say Missouri since I finished high school and college there.
Texas. Because even if I wasn't from there, I would want to be.
Just kidding ( a little ).
Because I was born there, raised there ( in a few different cities) and that's the only place that really feels like I have a large history.

It is where I was born, raised and have been fortunate enough to live my entire adult life. I know we won't be here much longer but it will always be home.
Maine.
Born and raised there but moved away when I was 19. I'm not sure if I'll ever live there again..we'd love to settle down in NC or VA, but I love to claim it as my home base.
I'm from Western PA! I was born and lived there until the Navy moved us to FL.
