Pissed at our loan officer.
We close at 2pm on Monday, supposedly. Our loan officer was supposed to call on Friday to give us wiring instructions and the final amount. We never heard from her. Our real estate agent's assistant says that they received that information Friday and have no idea why we didn't.
Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Why do people suck so much during something this stressful?
Re: Pissed at our loan officer.
I can totally relate to this because if we weren't on top of our agent all.of.the.time we'd be 8 steps behind right now.
They never call you with updates or good news. But for bad news the calls start coming in at 10 am in the morning.
This has been the first weekend in over a month and a half that we could relax, since we know they don't call for anything on the weekend, good or bad. We ended the week on somewhat of a good note.. I'm dreading Monday morning. I almost expect a call with another request for our first born.
Ha, I knew it was weird that I absolutely LOVED our mortgage broker. They were actually the easiest people to work with in the entire process and I felt like they were really trying to get us into our house as easily as possible.
Are you doing your loan through USAA? They're usually so good at everything...
No, we were advised to go through someone local. I mean, they got the job done in that everything is ready for tomorrow EXCEPT we don't know how much to bring to the closing table or how to wire it there. We have had to hound our loan officer because she never gets back to us when we have questions.
I'm sure we can set up the transfer Monday morning, but I have no idea if it will clear in time. I will be so pissed if this gets delayed and it's not our fault. DH is military and it's not easy for him to just say "Hey boss, things got messed up. I need to take another full day off for this." (we're over an hour away right now from where we're buying the house).
We have our loan officer's cell phone number. I'm sure it's bad form to call her on a Sunday, but we will be calling her today (at a reasonable hour) to ask why our agent received the information but we did not.
I love the different reactions from DH and me.
Me: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
DH: I'm so confused. I'm used to everyone doing what I ask of them immediately. (He's a military officer and dropping the ball is not tolerated from him or his sailors.)
