Customer service at 9 pm on a Sunday in Spain? I love Amazon!

This is amazing. I sent an e-mail to Amazon Spain a half hour ago complaining that they sent me DH's electronic drum kit with a British plug when this fact wasn't mentioned on the website. I figured they'd reply on Wednesday since it's a long weekend here for May Day.

 

I got a reply 30 minutes later! Oh, how I missed you, American style customer service.

    I wish amazon would get more credit for their customer service. It's the same in Germany - where other places you have a "service desert Germany" (that's what the Germans themselves say about their customer service), amazon let's you click a button as to whether you want them to call you about your problem within the next 5 minutes or pick a time for them to call you. And they do it! I have had really great experiences with amazon's customer service.

    There US service is great too if your calling from abroad about something. When my Kindle broke I had a window of time that the broken one needed to be sent in. The guy allowed me an extra 2 weeks since I was mailing from Switzerland. And they offered to let me pay for the shipping of the new one to me in CH. Even though it was originally purchased and sent in the US.

    I'm an Amazon addict also thanks to their complete reliability when it comes to customer service. I wished there was an Amazon Italy :( Speaking of, the other day I was on Crate and Barrel's website and used their new chat feature. I got all the answers I needed in just a couple of clicks, I thought it was really neat. Can't beat the service here in the US!

    I just use the regular Amazon and it ships to me just fine.

    Does Amazon (not US country) have stuff priced like it is in the US or is it Amazon with German prices?

    yes i do too - but shipping isn't cheap!!

    So if Amazon Australia would be charging me Australian prices, I'd still rather pay shipping.

    Yes true - I guess I usually just save up and buy everything when I visit the states as I'm not buying any big ticket items that I can justify the shipping costs for. I just wish we had some better online shopping here! I have a few stores I frequent now for online shopping in Oz, but overall there just isn't much selection compared to amazon!!!
