so, i went out on my surprise date last night
remember that i told you my H was taking me out last night and he wasn't telling me anything about it?
babysitter got here at 7:30. we left to go to this great resto for 8pm. he only told me where we were going when we left and got in the car. so, already i was happy..
then we get to the restaurant and my h walks right to the back without waiting for the maitre d. and who is there?? 4 of my friends (2 other couples). total surprise. now, i love me a date night, but i will say, i almost love dinners out with friends even more. excellent food, lots of booze and great conversation.
it was a success.
also, the babysitter we got only charges $5/hour so i told h that we have to start going out at the very least, once a month.
marriage: betting someone half of your sh!t that you will love them forever...

$5/hr? I think that's what I charged when I babysat 20 years ago!

well, she is only 13 or 14. it was her first gig ever, so she's charging very little. before anyone flames me for hiring a 13 year old to watch a baby, she has a 4 yr old brother so she is well versed in feeding and diapers and soothing.
and, we paid her a lot more than $5 and hour. it was my way of ensuring she'll come again!
dude! that age is great for babysitting. they are so careful and cautious.

My niece is 14 and her brother is 3. She is incredibly responsible and I wished she lived closer.
