My favorite jeans have a hole in them :( PIP

Any ideas of how to fix this hole? They fit perfectly and they have been my go to jeans forever it seems.. I am so sad and I hate jeans shopping. But it may be time to let go of these ones.

They are KUT so low... I cant find them online. Which websites should I check out. Nothing available on EBAY. :(

  • How about an iron on patch? You could iron it on the inside and especially with the rip being in the crotch/thigh area (if I'm seeing the pic correctly), it shouldn't be too noticeable. I can't tell you how many times I've done this to my husband's work pants. It's a cheap and easy fix.

  • Thanks for the suggestion. I will stop at Joanns tomorrow. Do they have jean colored iron patches?
  • I have never used this company, so I can't speak for them myself, but someone linked this before and I thought it looked amazing: Denim Therapy. May be worth looking into.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some denim iron on patches at Joanns or Walmart. If they don't have any, you could also shop around online. I just saw some at this site: http://www.johnnypatch.com/

    Perfect. Thanks!

  • I've had this unfortunately happen a few times to jeans :( I wear them to death!

Yes, JoAnn's does carry denim-colored iron on patches. However, I would still stitch them after ironing them on so the hole doesn't spread, as it will in this high-stress area. Rather than make it look pretty, what I do is lots of back and forth with the sewing machine so it looks like darning, kind of. This is a good tutorial of how to do that:

    http://www.rawrdenim.com/2012/01/how-to-repair-raw-denim-holes-blowouts-via-darning/

They show it on a special machine, but for the crotch you do not need a special sewing machine, a regular one is fine. You can also buy thread to match your color denim, they even make "denim thread" where the color has variations and blends pretty well.

  • Have you tried Nordstrom Rack? I see Kut there often, not sure whether the style would be available...
  • Nordys will patch them for about $20, ask them to reinforce both sides.  We have to do this with all of DH's jeans.  You can't tell at all after they do it.

  • My sister takes her jeans to her tailor to be patched when this happens.

  • I'd also suggest a tailor, especially if you're not experienced in patching yourself.
A big old middle finger to you, stupid Nest.
  • Thanks for the suggestions, ladies. Much appreciated.

Though I am kinda weireded out by the fact that my post got almost 1000 views.
