***jerseygirl81*** Sunday's races
What is your goal time? I noticed in your sig that our half marathon times are super close (I ran 1:51:20 last weekend). I have a range in mind for Colorado, but dealing with altitude I'm not sure what I'll be up against. The Pig is hilly, so I know that's a challenge, too.
Re: ***jerseygirl81*** Sunday's races
I'm pretty confident that in ideal conditions I could run a 3:50. My 20 and 22 milers were both right around 8:30-8:40 pace. I don't think it's actually going to happen this time around, because I have a few things working against me - that damn blister, the weather forecast (61* at 6:30 start, climbing to the upper 70s), and the fact that I'm not willing to do anything to jeopardize getting to the starting line in Leadville CO happy and healthy on June 30. I was supposed to look at this as a long training run, but I'm not so good at that
All in all, I'll be happy with 3:55. I finished my last marathon in 4:00:10, and those 10 seconds have been hanging over my head since September
What are you thinking?

Those quinoa burgers ROCK. I'm so glad I have two left for lunch today! Also excellent crumbled over mixed greens, FYI.
Here's my progression of times:
3:50 in a perfect world (yay us!)
3:56 or better (PR from Bayshore last May)
Under 4 hours (you never know...)
4:15 if I get out there and it's just not happening (due to weather, pit stops, knees/hips on the cambered road...)

I know I just need to be happy to finish, but I'm going to be seriously disappointed if I don't get that sub-4 this time. I ran the Pig in 4:13:00 last year (it was my first) so I need to at least do better than that
I'm really looking forward to hearing about your Colorado experience. I'm just a little terrified of running up at that altitude.
Husband and I are trying to figure out how to move out there, we visited last year and just fell in love with the whole Boulder area.
