Does cedar really repel moths?
I bought some cedar blocks to hang in our closets because here and there we find an item with teeny holes in it.
BUT, I thought it was very strange that the packaging mentioned nothing about moth repellency, only clothing freshness.
I have always heard that cedar repels moths, but is this an old wives' tale?

Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Re: Does cedar really repel moths?
I always thought the same thing. I found this link and thought it was pretty interesting:

Thanks, SA, that is interesting.
Hmmmm. We keep our closet doors open generally because they are louvered and somewhat of a pita to close but maybe I should start closing them so the smell of the cedar "planks" I bought gets more concentrated.
