How was your weekend? Anything you're looking forward to this week?
Re: Monday Chatter
The weekend was perfect. We didn't do much of anything, just hung out as a family. Spent a lot of time outside playing with Eli.
I honestly don't think we have anything going on this week which is great. Dan is in town all week so we will just hang out as a family and enjoy it.
Weekend was good, we went to Ikea and got the dresser/changer for the nursery, along with an adorable night light, and I got a body pillow to help me sleep since it's been hard lately. Oh and when you spent $100 there, you got a free meal at their restaurant, so our $20 lunch was free! Yay! Other than that, it was pretty low key until T had to leave yesterday afternoon, he's been sent to a month long class in VA. I miss him already, but he'll come home a couple weekends and I'll go down to see him a couple weekends.
I'm looking forward to seeing my husband at the end of the week. I think we're going to go be tourists, we haven't decided if we're going to go down to Wilmington for the weekend, or if we'll go see some plantations and stuff in central VA. We'll hopefully get to see some friends too while he's at this class, since we have quite a few that live down there.
I have a final today and my last one tomorrow morning, then I am done for the semester! *cue happy dance*

I'm jealous!!
Our weekend was pretty good. We had dinner at a friends house on Saturday night, got a little yard work done, finally bought a mirror for our new bathroom (although it's not up yet...) But the downside, we pulled up the floor in our dining room (which we knew had wood underneath) and at first glance the wood looks great, just needed some refinishing. But then we realized that they had used a bajillion staples on the subfloor between the wood and the old vinyl, and they would NOT come out. So instead we are going to put new wood down through the kitchen and dining room. Oh well.
This week I am looking forward to potentially ordering our new cabinets!
I went to see DH's dance performance on Friday night. We went to the movies and saw 21 Jump Street on Saturday afternoon, and then DH had another performance on Saturday night, so I went and watched it again lol. DH and his friend ran an all day hip hop dance workshop on Sunday and I participated in the first class. I wasn't feeling well at all and was exhausted, so I went home and napped after that. Then it was the usual Sunday stuff-laundry & dinner at my parents'.
I had such a great weekend! Friday night hung out at home and then Saturday I went up to the city where I went to University and went shopping with one of my BFF's and then we went out for dinner and drinks and dancing. It was great to get away and do that, brought back lots of good memories from when I was in University. However my body also let me know that I am not 22 anymore
This week we have a few playdates on the agenda. I am hosting one Wednesday so I will be cleaning tomorrow.
We had a pretty good weekend. Saturday afternoon we had newborn pictures taken, which was a chore because Taylina didn't want to lay scrunched up and if we took her out of her onesie she was wide awake when we wanted her asleep lol
It was John's birthday yesterday, so Saturday night his family came over and we had DQ Ice Cream Cake. Other than last night Taylina decided that there was no way she was going to go to sleep in her bassinet. I had fed her, she'd made a dirty diaper etc and so there was no reason that she wouldn't go down from what I would figure out, very frustrating. John took her and as long as he was standing and rocking her in his arms she was sound asleep the second he laid her down she was awake and screaming again. Finally at 1 and hour before her "regular" feeding time I'd had enough and went to feed her again. Made her "schedule" all messed up now though, because she got up at 5 wanting to be fed again and is still sleeping now at 8:30 when she is usually up wanting to be fed between 7-7:30. Could make for an interesting day with her. I can't believe that a week has already gone by since she was born!
I can't wait for my sister to come tomorrow! Even though I'm definitely starting to feel better and my incision isn't as sore I still can't do much of anything and it'll be nice that she can help me out!

AMAZING! I LOVE watching dance performances!:)
I'm hell bent on teaching KR how to tumble too! I just think it's so cool!
Weekend was pretty good.
It was the infamous baby shower that I essentially planned. I must say..I plan a good baby shower ;-) haha Kidding of course. But it was fun and it was good to see everyone. My mother was stressing me out until everyone started to arrive and then I just hung out with my friends and didn't have to worry.
It was a tough weekend at the same time because I saw how much my grandfather has slowed down & is deteorating, and how much it is weighing on everyone because my grandparents have to depend on my parents so much anymore. I feel bad I can't help out since my mom's brother is a deadbeat in that department. I just really hope he can make it until the baby is born to meet him/her.
I'm jealous, I want to go to Disney Land!!
Sarah - that picture is awesome!!! I love going to dance performances and I miss being in them myself.
I haven't officially had a weeken yet (not until Wednesday) but Friday night after work my family and a ton of our friends went to a bar and grill for my step dads 50th birthday!!! It was so much fun. His actual bday was the 24th but we were all available to celebrate it the 28th. He had a blast and it was great seeing some people I haven't seen in forever. DH and I had to leave around 1030 because I was taking him to the airport for a red eye flight.
After work last night I just went home and read. Everyone I know is sick so I just stated home.
DH won't be home until tomorrow so tonight I'm renting A Good Year (or the good year, I can't remember) my mom said its pretty good and sort a chick flick, which is what I normally watch when he isnt home.
This week I'm just looking forward to my "weekend" and hubby coming home.

I'm finding a whole new perspective on Ikea. My boyfriend is Swedish (born and raised there until he was a teenager). Ikea is a Swedish company and they have Swedish food there that you can buy. He stops there all the time and brings yummies. He brought this Swedish cheese... yummy!!!
Anyway, glad you got some good stuff. I love their prices!
Soooo cool!
