I texted this info to my mom, and her reply was:

I think she is halfway serious.

You should totally go, toss a bunch of bird seed around the entrance of the church so a large crowd of birds gather. Then startle them just as the happy couple comes out, if pigeons gather they'll poop all over them!

I will come up with other things tomorrow night while drunk (it's my birthday and the kids with be at camp grandma), I'm sure. I'll try and post a list, but I cannot promise proper spelling or grammar.

Abusive a-hole, to sum it up. Married at 22, divorced by 24.
Well, I'm glad you got out and still send my condolences to her.
My first marriage was a similar situation. Way too young and about a minute after the ring was on, he started punching holes in the walls every time he was angry with me, which was a lot. I left just after our first anniversary and never looked back.
