My freakout, let me show you it:

Saw this house online that I loooooved about a month ago but we hadn't sold our place yet,  so there was not point in setting up an appointment to go see it.

Now that we've sold our place, we went to see it with our agent on Saturday morning, fell totally in love. It is perfect. Nothing else we've seen has even come close to hitting all the main points (neighborhood, open living area, decent sized bedrooms, usable backyard space). I want this house.

Put in an offer, they counter-offered, we sent back a counter-(counter?)-offer. Haven't heard back.

They had an open house yesterday and we're scared that they now have lots of offers and don't need ours :o

FREAKING OUT.

Re: My freakout, let me show you it:

  • The same thing happened to us when we bought our house, and we just ended up paying the asking price. It came down to, is that 5K really worth losing this house, and it wasn't. They're probably going to wait a day or 2 to see if they get any other offers, so try not to freak out too much. It's really hard not to get your hopes up though! Good luck!

  • hang in there- the same thing happened to us- we were going that night to put in an offer and while we were driving we found out there was already a contract. Luckily for us it fell through but it woked out very well! I am crossing my fingers for you.

  • Good luck! I hope they accept your offer!

  • Hang in there! It took a while for us to hear back from the sellers that they'd accepted our offer as well. Fingers crossed!

Also, A++ for gif use today. Excellent.

  • Fingers crossed for you!
