Not healthy but I really don't care at the moment
I am eating ramen noodles with an egg in it right now. I know its really unhealthy but I just had a braces adjustment today where they did A LOT of pulling and proding and tieing (not sure if that is the right word) a tooth to the wire to pull it forward.
I am eating this because 1 its soft, and 2 it will keep me full for awhile before I have to sum up the courage to eat again.

Things are really moving, the tooth they are pulling forward has already moved to (almost) where they want it. And they just messed with it today. I go about every 2-3 weeks now and this appointment and the last one is has caused more pain than the very first one where they pulled teeth.

I haven't had braces in like 14 years and I still vividly remember that pain (I had a tooth "pulled" to where the doctor wanted it, too.)
My dad always bought me a Carvel shake when I had an adjustment (I was a chubby, but happy, kid.)
ETA: He also bought me lots of Tiffany's jewelry when I was in REALLY bad pain. You should mention that to your DH. Tiffany's > Ramen noodles.
