AW- First knitting project finished (almost)!

I finally finished my first knitting project. I still need to put in a few more buttons, but I got antsy and put it on DS for a picture! Of course, I finished it right in time for warm weather, but it's 18 months, so *hopefully* it will still fit him in the fall.

    100% this.  Great job :)

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

It's from a French pattern book (my mom is from France and she is the one teaching me to knit, so I'm learning in French. Hopefully it wont be too hard figuring out the English knitting terms later). The pattern book is Phildar No. 61. The website is www.phildar.fr. I'm not sure if you'd be able to get ahold of it here, but maybe?

Aww and your DS is almost the same age! We should do a side by side. :)

  • You are totally my twin from afar...as I, too, am working on a baby sweater...my very first project.  I need to finish the sleeves.  Thankfully I made size 18 months for my soon to be coming little girl, so I have time.  Mine does not look NEARLY as nice as yours...but can't beat mama made. Way to go!

It really is a little ridiculous, isn't it? Next you'll tell me you keep worms in your kitchen. :)

I can't wait to see your finished sweater! I hope to one day have a reason to knit and sew for a baby girl, but for now I'm finding more inspiration for my little guy than I thought I would.

Well, I used to have worms in the kitchen...they worked well! But, with so many scraps from gardening, we only outdoor compost now.  Maybe we really are twins...which means you should be getting pregnant with a baby girl soon. :)
