I have been doing a lot more sewing and am in need of new scissors. I currently have Fiskers and they are OK. Is there something better that you would recommend? I noticed that Joann's has Fiskers and another really expensive brand. Any reason to switch from what I have?

My Gingher shears have held up much better than my Fiskars.
I prefer the design of a Fisker rotary cutter over Olfa though.
Gingher are better quality, but I have more shears that are other brands because I like the handles better. I have not met a pair of comfortable Gingher's yet. I have a couple of Fiskars, inclurding a huge, rather scary pair, a couple of Mundial and quite a few others that serve various purposes, but the pair that I reach for most often is a pair of some brand that I had never heard of before, that had great comfort grip shears.
I prefer my Olfa rotary cutters to my Fiskars. Better blades, and better grip.
