Hi everyone. I see that the nest transition is tonight so I figure it's as good a time as any to say hi - before it all goes to hell
So after a couple of months of tough work, I managed to get myself a promotion, which is great. BUT, I have hardly had a chance to eat lunch ever since, much less nest, so I have a feeling my participation might be waning
I am going to have to try harder to focus on what really matters, though, right? ![]()
In other news, I had a now-annually-required colonoscopy last week. Not fun, I say. The procedure was fine and honestly the prep wasn't the worst thing in the world, but the THREE DAYS of dietary modification sucked. One day of low fiber (eat like an American, y'all!), one day on liquids only, and one day on CLEAR liquids only. Yeah, that was my first day in my new role and I honestly almost passed the eff out in a meeting. But my insidey parts look *perfect*, so I'm not complaining. I'm less than three weeks away from my 1 year diagnosis-aversary, healthy, promoted, with a healthy kid and hubs. Life is good!

Awesome news!
I've always though colonoscopies look horrendous to have, but when I need one I certainly will get one.
Glad everything looks good in there!
As for the colonoscopy prep, what is up with the 3 days? I've never had to do that and hope I never do. I can barely survive off of 24 hours without eating and pretty much cheat ever time.

Yeah, I think it's the "bonus" of getting a scope at the oncology clinic - they're really hardcore about it. But they're also REALLY great with the drugs, so it balances out

Whoa. MSKCC has nothing on that.
Glad everything is all clear up there. I need to get on scheduling my next one - I'm due in May.
Congrats on the promotion!
We all have to step back from the nest at times, it's not going anywhere. The board's always hopping. As someone who took a long hiatus; I can say coming back is fun and in no time, it's like you never left.
