Bethenny Ever After

I know it has been said before, but I don't know how much longer I can watch her show.  Her and Jason fight like high school kids, same topic over and over again.  Also, when is her talk show starting?

Re: Bethenny Ever After

  • It's not real enjoyable to watch a couple go through so much marital strife. I have enough of that in real life. I didn't watch last night's episode yet but I wasn't surprised at all watching the previews that there is another fight in Mexico.

  • It is definitely uncomfortable to watch them bicker.  I think Bethenny just needs to let go of things.  She is making her past control her life - like she is a victim of her past.  I have had some terrible things happen in my life, but I don't let them control my life, I'm not a victim or let it completely disable me.  So she comes from a disfunctional family -- she needs to move on and be happy about where she is NOW, not live in the past or whatever is going on in her head.  I'm not even sure what they are fighting about any more, but that's what the show has turned into, the bickering.
  • I stopped watching around 5 episodes ago - they're saved up on the DVR but I think I'll just delete them.

  • She loves the drama and she loves to play the victim.  I feel so badly for him.
  • I don't even understand what they were fighting about last night at their romantic dinner on the beach.

Bethenny's issues seem fairly out there - rough upbringing, trust issues, control freak, low self-esteem in her relationship (ie: she's a bad wife, etc.). But Jason talking about their issues with the typical gender roles was eye-opening, and further proves to me that boyfriend needs to get some therapy himself. His wife is wildly successful and brings in more money than he does. I think it's an asinine thing to get your panties in a wad over, but I get it, there are old-fashioned men who think they're supposed to be the bread winners. Clearly Jason is one of them. But Bethenny's success doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon, so he needs to come to terms with it and let it go.

  • Jason saying that he feels judged because he isn't as successful shows he has some serious hang ups about his wife's success. I think he's jealous that she took risks and became wildly successful and rich and he didn't. He needs some therapy asap if they want to stay married. The more successful she gets the more it'll tear them apart.

  • My theory is that she tries to escape her demons by being busy.  She needs to just stop taking on so much and live life--she should be able to be happy with a nice husband, precious child, and enough income to live off of very nicely.  I know it has to be difficult because of her past, so I am glad she is in therapy.  I hope Jason willl go to therapy too.

  • I think Jason is a lot more difficult and confrontational, as well as nasty, than he lets on in front of the cameras.  I think he can say some pretty mean things to Bethenny, and despite her myriad issues, I don't get the sense she's nasty back.  I think he lashes out when he's hurt/feels attacked, and it is tearing her down.  I do think she has her issues as well, but I do not think he's perfect at all, and I certainly do not feel bad for him.  They are equally responsible, in my opinion.
  • I couldn't even stand to finish watching this week's episode and after deleting the episode I took the show off of my series recording list. I'm sick of watching them fight every week.

  • I'm about over it too. This was 2 full episodes of 1) fighting and 2) haggling with Hermano on the beach.
  • I agree with the poster who suggested that Jason is maybe not so nice to Bethenny.  I am thinking that he is actually pretty jerky.

I don't get the girl Veronica. What is a Glammy?  I thought she was Betheny's friend because they showed them having lunch and shopping but I think maybe she is an employee?  Is she another nanny?

I don't understand why Julie's replacement wouldn't be a seasoned assistant and not these girls who are still clearly so green. She told them to toughen up and then the girl is crying on the boat?

  • The Veronica and Dawa situation has confused me for a while, but I think I've figured it out.  Veronica does Bethenny's makeup and is her friend.  And love Bryn.  And I think she sometimes comes along when they travel to watch Bryn rather than Dawa.  So Glammy is the made up title because she glams Bethenny and then also sometimes is the nanny.
