Mother's Day Travel Gift?
My mom is going to Italy for 2 weeks with her two BFFs. My sister and I are stumped for a Mom's Day gift (well, we are stumped every year) but this year we wanted to do something travel / Italy related since she is leaving on 5/14.
The only thing we can come up with is a USAirways gift card so she doesn't have to pay to check her bags. Any suggestions?? She doesn't want a Nook which I thought would be a great gift. She's already purchased an outlet converter.
Price range $50-100.
TIA

Re: Mother's Day Travel Gift?
Here are some suggestions.
toiletries organizer:

travel wallet to go around your waist:

guidebook:

You could also just get her some Euros.
Day pass for the airport lounge. Nothing like being able to relax before you hop on a plane or between connections.
Daily supplies in travel size for her purse - moist towelettes, pack of gum, band aids, hand sanitizer, folding cup (surprisingly useful when you want to share a water bottle).
Ultra package umbrella (weather in Italy in May is unpredictable)

or flat pack umbrella

I love this power converter set -- very useful and easy to use:

And if your mom uses styling aids, this is incredibly useful. You don't have to wait for your tool to cool before you pack it!

And a big winner in my book -- a really nice pashmina! A good sized one in a basic color is a great travel item -- to wrap around cold shoulders on planes, to wear out to dinner or just hanging out in the hotel room.
just euro. i'm always wary of buying people stuff or gadgets as i generally never use/already have what i'm given.
euro are fine. give her a nice card, maybe wtih a great restaurant suggestion or a few, and tell her to have dnner on you in rome one night or something. or a list of shops in florence that will ship wine or ceramics back to the us. you see where i'm going with this
