anyone else doing a veggie garden this year?
What are you planting?
We haven't bought anything yet, but here's the plan:
- cherry tomatoes (3)
- Big Boy tomatoes (3)
- zucchini (2)
- maybe some yellow squash
- broccoli (4)
- blueberry bush
- pumpkins
- jalapenos
- anaheim chiles
- basil
- thyme or rosemary ( I can't decide)
Maybe some of these (if I can find them)
- butternut squash
- acorn squash

Re: anyone else doing a veggie garden this year?
I've decided that I'm just going to do container gardening this year. We've had a full garden the last 2 years, but between Alabama clay and the damn rabbits, it's just not worth it. The only thing I had real luck with last year was squash and cucumbers, and they practically give those away in the summer anyway.
I'm going to do containers of spinach, leaf lettuce, and herbs and use my topsy turby for tomatoes again. That's all I'm doing.
of course I am- we have two- one at our house and one at the farm.
our house-mostly herbs or things that need constant attention.
parsley, cilantro, lettuce, spinach, oregano, thyme, lavender, rosemary, basil, carrots (we planted in pots to try this year) two cherry tomato plants, zucchini, and we are doing a lettuce table like in this slideshow:

At the farm-
We are scaling back our section to 75 tomato plants, bush beans, cucumbers, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, ornamental chilis that we use for spice, carrots, radishes, melon and strawberries.
My dad will plant the corn, his tomatos (we make wine so its a yours and mine kind of thing) peppers, eggplant and zucchini.
I'm new to blueberries this year, I got nothin. From what I hear they are pretty easy though.
