sorry - just need to vent for a minute.
my sister and i have been trying to sell my grandmother's house for about a year now. the market for the type of house she had isn't great in our area right now. we've reduced the price and are on the very low end of what houses have been selling for within the last couple of months.
anyway, we finally got an offer last week, negotiated, signed everything, and the inspection was yesterday. apparently the sky light in the screened-in porch has leaked at some point so the buyer is backing out. i'm just annoyed that he wouldn't even ask for a repair (because we have no problem fixing it!). so it's back to the waiting game. i was so hoping this whole ordeal would just be over soon. grrrrrr.
Re: ugh... buyer backed out
yup, i'm guessing he just second-guessed his offer.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
I agree with this. It's often difficult for a buyer to imagine themselves in a place that seems like it will need a lot of work.
Keep your head up.
If we were in your area that would be a great home for us. We wanted a home that we could update and make our own.
Hopefully you sell it soon.
