Just curious.... how many get to WDW and then go right to a park? Wondering the day we arrive...at about noon if best to try and go to a park or better to just hang out at resort/pool and maybe go over to downtown disney? Traveling with a near 4 year old. (who does really well traveling I might add.) Maybe a day to do DHS?

Thank you. Promise no more Disney questions for awhile after this!

Re: One more Disney Question

  • i geuss that would depend on what time you arrive, how long it taks you to get to the hotel, unpack etc...

if it were me i'd get the park hopper passes so you dont have to worry about which parks/which days etc.. they're worth it.

Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:

  • We are in kinda the same boat, but we won't be arriving in Orlando till about 3.  On arrival day, we have chosen to just relax, unpack, buy a few groceries and get ready for the next day, our first full day at the Magic Kingdom.

I have read on several blogs that if you don't want to wait an hour to see Rapunzel, then you pretty much have to be there as soon as they open.  I also will have a 4 year old girl and she loves " Punzel" so that is a must do for  us.  That of course means that we have to be ready to go and be out the door by 8 in the morning, so everything will have to be done the night before like making snacks, lunches, drinks, putting out clothes, taking showers etc.

Sorry, I have gotten off track.  No, we have decided not to go to Disneyworld on our arrival day; however we might, might go to Downtown Disney if we are feeling up to it.

  • We're drivers so we are never in the mood to hit a park once we get there.

We usually arrive around lunch time, check in, get lunch, and hit a local Target or grocery store for some staples.

Once we are in our room we shower and get cleaned up for the evening.  We usually decide then how we feel.

Normally we'll just head down to Downtown Disney for the evening and keep it low key or we head to bed early to hit the parks first thing the next morning

  • we usually go to a aprk on our arrival day, we take an early flight and usually get into a park for lunch.  we usually stick to some low key stuff and parades.  how many days are on your ticket already?  its really cheap to add days after you have a 3 day ticket.

It usually works out that we are walking into the MK just as the parade begins, it really gets everyone in the spirit.  We always head straight over after grabbing a quick lunch at the hotel.
