Today's embarrassment to my profession...reporter flirts with athlete
Yes, I know journalism has been sorely lacking recently. It's an embarrassment sometimes. And with that said, I offer up this gem.
It's a fluff piece about a new roller coaster. And there's nothing wrong with the occasional fluff piece but the reporter just goes nuts, flirting with David Freese of the St. Louis Cardinals. I think my head almost exploded. As a sports journalist, I have worked my butt off to be taken seriously by the men I work with and the men I cover. And then this happens...awesome. Just awesome.
(To his credit, Freese is a helluva lot more professional than his interviewer).

This is such an embarrassment to every female working in sports journalism. This 'story' has gotten picked up on national blogs, and it's not to compliment her.
