Re: Tuesday Chatter
I'm at work
I came in at 6:30 and am going to be here until 5. It already feels like I have been here 8 hours so the rest of the day is going to suck.
We are looking to buy a used car and get rid of my SUV so I will probably do some research later this afternoon. That should break up my day a little.
I hate those days where it seems time is going so slow.
My Sister had a pain in her back which traveled to her stomach every time she tried to lay down so she was up for most of the night. I told her (from my experience) that it was probably trapped gas but she felt she needed to go to the emergency room anyway. So, at 5 am she calls to tell me she can't watch Lucas and I was stuck texting my boss letting her know I couldn't come in. I even offered to take Lucas to work with me for a bit because I figured she would be home by now (obviously she isn't) but she told me to just stay home and come in later if I could.
I hope your sister is ok. I enjoy those days that daycare calls and says she is closed! Unexpected time with the kid is wonderful! Have fun today!
Yikes! I hope your sister is okay.
I'm at the office, about ready to kill someone because there's so much stupid going around here.
Also, a friend called me to make plans to go shopping this morning... and I realized I don't have a free Saturday until July 21st! That's sort of stressing me out.

I have a fun filled day planned to do some cleaning and some baking
I am hosting my mom friends for a coffee playdate tomorrow so I have to get the house in shape.
Mackenzie is moving all over! It never ceases to amaze me how kids can overcome things (like her brace). She is army crawling, spinning circles, rolling both directions. Time to up the baby proofing around here.
That would stress me out too!!
I am thinking we will spend the day cleaning and packing for our beach trip NEXT weekend.
I'm just a little too excited I think.
I'm at work today. It is rainy and I would have preferred to stay home and watch movies all day.I am finding it hard to do any work. I just want it to be Saturday so we are on our way to Disney!
Mags decided at 345am this morning that it was play time. She was up playing in her bed until 5 this morning. I went in once to make sure she was ok, but she was just laying there playing with her monkey. She is in a toddler bed now so she can get out, but she just stayed in bed gabbing away. I couldn't go back to sleep until she stopped talking. She was also pretty pissed when I woke her up at 7 for daycare. I'm still trying to figure out why the hell she woke up - she never does that.
Also - I am ready the Fifty Shades series. Anyone else read it? I am on the second book. All I can say is - Oh my!
I keep hearing that the editing in it is really, really bad. I wanted to throw Twilight at the wall because that was so bad, I feel like I couldn't handle this!

I'm so jealous that you have beach weather. It's cold and rainy and miserable here.
On another note, I totally bought those sandals. They're fab.

Silly Maggie! Krissy, I'm jealous of your disney trip. I hope you guys have such an awesome time.
I want to read the fifty shades of grey series but I have to wait until my new card for my checking account comes in. My amazon account is linked to my other checking account that we had to close.
On that note, it's amazing how much money we've saved by not having easy access to our money in our bank account. Yes, we can go to the bank and withdrawal money but I really don't want to drive into Austin to deal with it. And, Edgar doesn't have access to buying his lunch at work on a daily basis. lol
I guess I didn't notice it. I read it pretty quickly. Some of the stuff seriously is crazy. However, it was an easy read for me.
Tara - let me know what you think of it!
My college editing classes ruined me.
I'll probably end up reading them at some point just because everyone else is!

Yay! I'm glad you like them. They are probably my favorite pair of sandals but I have so many I can't really choose. We are BEYOND beach weather here and it seems like winter never really came so we never lost the beach weather.
I have been putting out fires left and right today and it's driving me nuts. Tons of academic crisis during the last two weeks of the semester...
Laura, I'm so jealous of beach time! It's rainy and in the low 50's here today and my mood is matching the weather (with some help from a coworker and 2 students lol).
I'm finally at home all day today... no more of this running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. I'll probably spend the day cleaning and keep working to organize the basement.
As for the 50 shades books, did anyone watch Ellen reading it? It was hilarious.

Yay for unexpected baby time! Laura hope your sister feels better!
Krissy, silly Maggie, I still can't believe how big she is! I'm jealous of your Disney trip, I'm sure you all are going to have a great time!
Kate, I'm not as booked as you, but I still feel like we have no time to get anything done.
I want to read "50 Shades," but I'm currently on the waiting list on the library website to get the ebook. Tony got mad when he saw all my recent ebook purchases, so back to the library I go. I'm working on "Delerium" right now, just finally finished "Crossed" last week, and have my purchased "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" to go through next.
I spent all morning on the phone with BRU because when I went to register yesterday I thought I saw a sign that said "buy the B-Agile stroller get the B-Safe carseat free" but they were out of stock of the stroller, and I'm price hunting like mad trying to get the best deal on the system, so if this was the case $250 for both would be the rock bottom I've seen. So I call this morning to ask if they are getting any in stock soon, I spend 35 minutes on hold while someone goes to check the new shipment they got in this morning, finally I gave up, hung up, called back, talked to someone else, who then tells me I read the sign wrong, it's buy the stroller and carseat get the soft carrier for free. Ugh. No deal. Now I'm just going to relax on the couch with my book and chill out, maybe vacuum the floors this afternoon.
Too funny! I want to read them, but I'm holding off b/c my mom, grandma, younger cousin and I all have our Kindles linked so that we can all share books. I'm a little embarrassed to put this on there for them all to read/see that I"m reading it. I'm sure I'll get over it, but I'm kind of hoping one of them will ask me to get it, instead.
I'm working from home today, so that equals working in pajamas for me. Love it!
Kate - id love to see the sandals you bought.
Krissy - I remember my little sister would do that, we shared a room for quite a while growing up and it drove me crazy. And I'm 10 years older than her so my teenage moodiness really didn't like it.
Laura - can I go to the beach with you!?
Also, I've never heard of this 50 Shades of Gray, what's it about?
For me...I'm at work. Can't wait for 6:00 to roll around so I can start my weekend. I just had an ex-coworker come try to get me to work with/for her. It's VERY tempmting considering what I've been dealing with here lately. I need to talk to DH when he gets home from his trip to see what he thinks about it.
I watched The Desendants last night and cried through a lot of it. It's rare to see George Clooney cry, normally he always smiles in scenes he should be upset it so it made the story more sad to me. I read the book a while ago so was happy to see it.
If DH isnt back today I'm going to watch A Good Year, has anyone seen it?

Oh! Those do look really cute. I love sandals, they look silver, I love that.

PS - 50 Shades is erotica. It's the new "it" book right now.
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
It has been called "mom porn".
Haha that's funny, is it called that because it's tame? I'll have to look into them. I'm just about finished with a Shopaholic book. And there is one is saw either Maureen or Kate rate on Goodreads I thought looked really good.
