Natural remedies for rosacea
My prescription coverage is awful & I can't get an Rx for less than $100 out of pocket for anything my dermatologist *thinks* might help w/my rosacea. I started looking online for natural remedies & I'm finding references to lavender essential oil, green tea, feverfew, licorice, etc. Has anyone used such remedies with any success? I'm also considering going to a naturopath. I did use metrogel a few years ago when I had better Rx coverage but it didn't seem to help much, so I am reluctant to spend that much $$ on something I really don't think is going to work anyway! Any experiences would be appreciated- thx.
Re: Natural remedies for rosacea
I feel your pain, I have it too. I've never tried herbal remedies.
A naturopath isn't necessarily a better choice than a dermatologist, because the causes are unknown. And what works for you might not work for me. Therefore, treatments vary, and no matter who treats you, they are guessing. And either way, it will probably still cost you at least $100 to "try", right?
I use makeup to even out the redness.
Good luck.
I used Finecea but my dr. gave me a bunch of samples before I filled the prescription. Plus, they have a discount program. I got the info from my doctor but I believe it is on their website also.
Clinique redness is the way to go. You don't have to use much. Here's a travel size

I have it too and use Mario Badescu Control Cream. I rarely have a bump now.
