If you tan body, but not face....

If you like to get your arms and legs tan, but are trying to preserve your face with sunscreen, do you wear make up everyday?  Do you just use bronzer on face?  What is your regimen?

  • Yes! Well, maybe not everyday (the make up part). I use a tinted moisturizer...Aveeno TM SPF 30 and then just a little concealer, bronzer, lip gloss, and sometimes set with a mineral veil

I self tan my body, but feel like if I dont do my face, too, it's way too noticable of a difference. Even if I just use bronzer it doesn't look right. So I self tan face, too.

  • You can get skin cancer on your arms and legs, too.

You still get color wearing an appropriate SPF.

Why would you only use sunscreen on your face when in the sun?

  • Very true and I do wear sunscreen on my body- just not as high/heavy as face.  I have been getting a lot of age spots and dark spots on face and am spending money on treatments, lasers, etc... so my face will now be masked in 70 with high zinc level so no sun will penetrate while I would still like to get away with 15 or 30 on legs and arms in hope of having some color on those.  I just know my face will never be tan again between the hat and spf, and I figured it would look odd if my arms and legs and chest have a slight tan.

hmmmm, I'd still recommend going with a higher spf for your body than 30 - a 45 would be better and you'll still get color.

How old are you?  I have age spots all over my hands already and I'm 40.  I have one dark spot on my forehead at the hairline.
