Has anyone ever had this happen?? Today during spin class about 20-25 mins in, I started feeling sick. I backed off on the tension and speed and just took it easy for a bit but I still ended up having to walk out of class, and when I did, I felt all dizzy/light headed. I had to sit down on the stairs and then I headed straight for the bathroom where I sat for about 10 minutes, still dripping sweat off of me. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before and I've been working out fairly consistently for the past 2+ years and I've taken spin class tons of times.
Has this ever happened to you? Does anyone know the reason?? I'm really worried about it happening again and what if I actually faint from it?? (I don't know why, but fainting in public has always been a huge worry of mine) But either way, I don't want this to happen ever again when I work out.
Re: WTH - Dizzy & nauseous from workout??
I had eaten breakfast (1/4 of a cantaloupe) and had a snack (larabar) later in the morning and my workout was on my lunch break (hadn't eaten lunch yet) but I workout on an empty stomach all the time with no problems, sometimes I workout first thing in the morning even with no problem.
electrolytes... that is something I never pay attention to....

I guess I don't normally pay much attention to salt either. We did just come home from a vacation at Disneyland so I was subjected to two days worth of vegetarian, amusement park food for Thursday & Friday, and then Saturday we were sight seeing so still eating on the go, Sunday was airport food and then I've returned to healthy eating since being home the past 2 days.

Not that I know of - I feel fine! And I just had a cold a month ago so I hope not.

Are you kidding? You've had almost no protein and little calories by lunchtime and you're going to work out? I'd beef up your breakfast. And yes, I'd pay attention to electrolytes. If I don't replace them, I get weak, dizzy and shakey during workouts. I also get that way if I'm starving and attempt to work out.
ETA - Sorry I didn't mean that to sound harsh, but I would advise you to add more protein to your breakfast and snack.
But this isn't different from how I've eaten in the past so that's why it's so odd to have happened.
Where do you get electrolytes? Sorry if that is a dumb question.
I forgot to add, I did have a banana with the cantaloupe this morning. I've eaten fruit for breakfast tons of times and never had a problem.

Full of food.
I have a hard time staying within the calorie recommendation on MyDailyPlate.com (almost always go over)
As I mentioned above, I'm a vegetarian but even my protein, I always go over the recommended amount on MDP because I get plenty of it from everything I eat. Beans, lentils, pasta, oatmeal, tofu/soymilk... I eat salads, other veggies, avocados/guacamole, tortilla chips, soup, Almond butter & jelly sandwiches, cheese, olives, eggs, shakeology... obviously not all of this in one day but these are a lot of the foods I frequently eat.

For me, it is usually blood sugar. However, a few weeks ago, it was anemia. Being a vegetarian, do you get enough iron in your diet? Based on what you listed you've eaten today, I'd say no. Plus if you were on vacation, you may not have been eating well.
Worth a thought. I have to take an iron supplement, and I stopped for a few weeks because I didn't think it was helping. Turns out, it totally was!
