I ordered a pair of earrings for my sister's birthday off Etsy. It was shipped first-class and the estimated delivery date was supposed to be April 18th. The USPS website delivery confirmation says it was delivered, but I never got it. I gave it a few extra days just in case but still nothing showed. I tried calling the postal office but it just rang forever.
Do I just show up to my closest post office with a delivery confirmation number and hope that somehow it was misplaced and they have it there? I contacted the seller and notified them that I never received the earrings and she basically said there was nothing she could do.

Do you live in an apt? I had this problem where it said it was delivered but I never got it, went to the PO several times and all they could do was tell me wasn't there. 3rd time I finally asked if they had a sub on our route. Sure enough they did. The sub didn't put the key for the larger mail boxes in our box.
I agree with LL- it is the sellers problem until you get it!

Went to the post office. Dude tells me that since the tracking thing says its delivered they can't really do anything. I say I want to talk to a manager. I wait 30 minutes to talk to a manager until a lackey comes out and says the manager is too busy to talk to me but to write down my info and he will get back to me.
Seller says since the tracking says it was delivered she can't (aka won't) do anything.
Im p!ssed. I just want these goddammed plugs. I have no reason to suspect my neighbors would steal from me. I buy stuff online all the time and have never had this problem.

What the eff, I'd be so pissed. Did you pay with a credit card? If so, can't you file a claim with them saying you never received the items? I'd have to google that to be sure....
ETA: Or contact Etsy and say the seller is unwilling to refund you and see what happens?
Can you do reviews on ESTY? I can't remember from my 2 purchases (I did have one lost in the mail but this seller resent it asap). I know H does a lot of selling and buying on EBAY; anytime he has had a bad experience and they are unwilling to work with him to fix it, he reminds them he can give them a bad review. Usually that does the trick.
I would try another trip to the PO tomorrow, try early in the AM when they are slower. If nothing the 2nd time dispute the charges.

Definitely the seller's problem. If she won't work with you I'd contact Etsy and let them know. She should either refund you or remake it. I'd also be harassing the post office. Stuff just doesn't disappear without someone knowing where it went.
I'm sorry
I hope they find it.
