Hey Girls!!!!

Hello! Sorry it's taken me so long to get on here but even when I turn off the java on my iphone it won't let me write anything bleh

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers with Allison while she was in the NICU.  She's doing fantastic now.

Even though I had a RCS for the poly and both pregnnacies being under 18 months things of course didn't turn out as planned just like with Ava.

Of course for my 38th week my doctor was on vacation.

I saw the NP on Monday the 9th and things were good.  They were predicting Allison at 7lbs 1oz at that point on the U/S.

I had noticed when I would cough or sneeze that I would have this pain on my left side but I had a sinus infection so figured that with all the coughing and sneezing that I just kind of aggrivated a muscle and didn't even tell the NP because it didn't happen all of the time.

Of course as the day progressed it starting hurting while doing other things as well.

Tuesday was even worse and walking hurt...it literally felt like my stomach muscle was pulling apart.  That night I told H there was noway I could wait until Monday for my doc to be back and I needed to call someone.

So Wednesday I called to get in with a doc and of course couldn't until 1 but I just dealt with it.

She tried to play it down (really hate when they do that) and she was wondering why my doc hadn't talked about doing the RSC at 38 weeks instead of 39 (yes ther are some states with laws of "elective" if you will be 39 or later and my doc believes that and I was totally on board) but this doc was wondering why she hadn't discussed it with me because in my poly situation where every single week my fluid level was rising they could talk to board and they would evaluate the case and could approve before 39 weeks.

I said well maybe she's on vacation haha

She slightly mentioned it could be a uterus problem and said the placenta looked great on the U/S but at this point it was extremely sore to the touch.

She said how about she give me some pain meds that wouldn't hurt Allison to get me through the weekend but she'd just call and see if she could get approval just in case and she would call me in the morning.

I go back to work and 45 minutes later she calls and says she got approval and she'd really recommend us not waiting until Monday for my doc to get back and that she'd prefer to do the section the next morning.  I'm like uuhhh ok.

she calls back a few minutes later and says ok they have one for 8 be at the hospital at 6am haha

So I'm rushing to get everything in order at work and then at home since H was going to be with Ava alone for the first time get all kinds of things done for him.

So I go in and it goes well...looking back she started crying before she was out and they even commented on that...she cried a good amount but then was fine.

We got back to the recovery room where I got to hold her for a few minute and the lady came in to clean her up...and did say she was concerned with her breathing but let me hold her and she latched for a minute but she wanted to check her breathing again...

And then said it was too fast and she figures due to me and the poly and the section she probably took in some fluid so she would have to go to the nursery to be monitored.

So H goes and says she was just crying and screaming throughout the 5 hours he would go check on her and that she was really red and that her oxygen dipped low.

But by the 6 hours (which if it doesn't get better by then they have to go to the NICU) a pediatrician at the girls office came in and she said she talked to a NICU doc and that she wasn't crying anymore and her oxygen leveled off but her breathing was still too fast so she would have to go but tried reassuring me that this was normal.

We went to see her for a few minutes once she got there and then I went back later...it was hard seeing the feeding tube down her throat and at that time they started her on antibiotics just in case she would get an infection and the doctor reassured me that even if she needed to still get them once her breathing was fine she could come to my room.  I asked the nurse and she said her breathing ranged from 65-100 breaths a minute (anything under 70 is what they want).

So Friday we saw her and she was doing better taking bottles which was a step and we thought she'd come in our room that day but I got the call from the doc saying not until Saturday.  H brought Ava up for a bit and it was really nice to see her since I've NEVER spent a night without her since she's been born.

Friday night I went to see Ali and the nurse was great and said that her breathing was doing so much better and was under 70 yay!  So Saturday morning she came to my room.  My goal was to go home after two days even though you can stay for 3 with a section but I wanted to stay the third night since it was Ali's first night with me.

I was really worried she wouldn't latch being it had been two days and she was used to the tube then bottle but she did great!  It was so strange pumping with no baby...I felt really disconnected.

H and Ava came to hang all day Saturday and Ava did so great with her!  I was so worried.

She passed her hearing test in her right ear but in her left only did 4 out of 5.  They only need 4 to pass however the one she failed is a required one which is a low frequency.  They think it's due to the fluid so we have to go back in another week to get her retested to see if that's the case but otherwise she's great.

She was back at her birth weight 5 days after she was born and is already a pound bigger now when we went for her 2 week.

She was a pound less than Ava but about the same length so she was just so tiny and still is since she's long.  She's such a good baby and barely cries.

Thanks for reading this novel..  Getting Ava away from the laptop long enough to type all of this was a miracle haha  I'll have to post pics later

I just wanted to say thanks again for all the congratulations and thoughts and prayers...it meant a lot!
