NF&BR: pls help me think of something special to do for my hubby's 40th bday!!
He has to work all weekend but I'm scrounging to come up with ideas to do something special for him before work or at the office. I feel like the worst wife ever! I had started planning something sooner but he wasn't able to get off of work.

Bake him chocolate bacon cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. That's what I did for my hubs b-day last week - he said it was his favorite part of the day.
Or, maybe cook him a special breakfast before he leaves for work (if that's not something you normally do). Or take him in some take-out from his favorite place for lunch at the office.
I've learned that it's the little things my hubs appreciates when it comes to birthdays.
I would book a trip or score great tickets to a concert or sports game. Or get him a really expensive watch if he doesn't already have one. Or throw him a big surprise party for a weekend he's not working?
Eta: I didn't read your post closely. I'd make a big breakfast with all his favorites.
