Re-intro

Hi everyone!

I guess I should introduce myself since I have been lurking for a while. It looks like I may potentially be an Army Wife/Mom! My husband is currently in the process of enlisting as an AD 25B pending his physical exam and processing. Hoping that it goes okay because he is healing from having tendonitis in his wrist. We have a new son who will be a month old on Saturday!

I'm hoping to learn a lot from you all and bond, as well as finding the strength to make it through the long weeks of BT and AIT for him..

Re: Re-intro

  • You are strong enough.  When you need a boost, we'll be here.  Just remember that how this goes down is all up to you and how you choose to see it.  If you focus on the suck of it all, it's gonna suck.  If you focus on the positive, it won't be that bad.  Keep busy.  Post here when you need to kill some time.

  • Thanks. :) I'm on pretty often anyways, usually lurking, because I'm a SAHM, I'm hoping that the time he is away goes by fast. Especially since the Sgt here said DH's AIT wasn't long enough for me to accompany him (20 weeks, 1 day) :(
  • It will go by before you know it.  Write him every day.  It will help you get through your days.  When I was in Basic, mail call was what everyone lived for.  I always say this but mail made good days great and bad days better.

It sucks to not be with him for those 20 weeks, but he really needs that time to focus.  Just think of how much of a pain in the asss it would be to move for 20 weeks and then move again.

  • Hi and Welcome!

I'm Beans, DH is AD AF, and I am a therapist (mental health). We have a dog, William.
