Yesterday, I went to the gym (first time since Saturday) and did 20 minutes on the AMT machine and 20 minutes on the arc trainer. I also did some weights (mostly chest exercises with a couple of inner/outer thigh exercises thrown in.)
Afterwards, I started feeling a tightness/soreness in my right hip (which I'm still feeling.) Soooo, should I run after work or try to make it to the yoga class offered at my gym? I haven't done yoga in years. My main concern about yoga is that the room might get too hot. (And, I never feel like yoga is a real workout, but I'm willing to start trying it once a week, esp. if it might improve my running/working out.) My main concern about running is that it might make my hip feel worse.
What say you, oh wise ladies of H&F?
Re: Yoga or Run today?
Yoga. Definitely yoga. Why are you concerned about the heat? Heat and yoga are amazing together! I see significant improvements in my running/the way I feel on runs when I incorporate even one yoga session a week on a regular basis.
1. I'm pregnant.
2. I have to wear a wig (I have alopecia), so no matter how hot any room is, I'm always much hotter than anyone else there.
