Hi, ladies! It's been so long since I've posted, though I do read from time to time to see what's going on with everyone.
I took today off from work to do some cooking prep, but I'm being very self-indulgent right now ... Nesting from Panera while I enjoy coffee and a gingerbread bagel with hazelnut cream cheese.
How is everybody??? Babies, pregnancies, jobs, pets, etc ...
(Lesli, I just saw your news yesterday. You and Erik have all my very best thoughts!)
Abbie, I cannot get over how quickly your dogs have grown! They are absolutely gorgeous and must bring you so much joy.
The other hockey wives out there will appreciate this... I feel like a complete hockey widow this season. On top of men's league, Tommy is coaching two county youth teams, so in an average week he has 2 kids' practices, 2 kids' games (all over DC and Baltimore) and a game of his own. Sometimes I feel like I have to go to the rink just to spend time with him! The kids are fun though and I enjoy seeing them improve.
This is one of the times of the year that I miss the Nest -- all the great holiday discussions and ideas. Tommy and I will be cooking for a few of his family members tomorrow, so I'll definitely be making some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to accompany the pies for dessert. Have not attempted the PA signature pumpkin roll yet ...
If you're around today, I'd love to hear how you're doing and what you're up to ..

Re: Happy Wednesday-before-Thanksgiving, everyone!
Hey Maureen! It's great to hear from you, and sounds like you're doing well--very busy! Wow, Tommy is busy, but its great he is able to coach kids. Hopefully the season will go well for him and you'll have your hubby back!
Nothing new on my end, just busy with the school year and grad school. I must say though that my kids are little angels compared to last year, and my job is less stressful and more enjoyable, although not without its bumps.
Enjoy your gingerbread bagel, one of my favorites! Stacey and I talked about a GTG in January, maybe with the guys, so I hope to see you sometime soon. Happy Thanksgiving!?
A GTG w/the guys would be fun ... since that's how the last one ended anyway, right? Sadie looks so great ... the picture of the two of you on FB is beautiful.
Hey Maureen! It's good to see you again. I love the gingerbread bagels at Panera. They had a sample the last time we were there (which is about every week, I can't believe we never run into each other) and it was so yummy.
I hope your Thanksgiving meal goes well. I spent last night making pumpkin pies and oreo truffles.
Enjoy your vacation too! Hopefully Tommy has some days off, he sounds so busy but I bet he is loving coaching.
Thanks Maureen, I do love that picture of her and I! : ) ?She has gotten so big, but is so sweet and really so calm and well-mannered. Sometimes I can't believe she is still only 10 months old!
