Our offer was accepted last night! They will break ground the first week in June and our closing date is August 24.

We are building a 3-bedroom 1 1/2 bath split level. We have a corner lot that is at the beginning of a culdisac. The lot beside it (on the culdisac side) is actually part of a giant 13 acre lot that runs behind all of the houses below ours, so there's not much chance it will ever be built on. I mean if you own 13 acres of wooded property plus the 1/4 acre lot on the street, why would you ever build on the street? Including our house, there will only be a total of 4 houses on the culdisac. The one across the street (on the other corner) is already built, but the other ones are still blank lots because they are considered premium lots (on the golf course) even though ours is not.
We went to the design center Tuesday night and picked out all of our interior stuff. We really like all natural looking, so everything is very earth tones. The siding will be tan with red wine colored shutters and front door, and everything will be trimmed in white.
Very cool. You did all your interior stuff in one might? Like cabinets, carpet, tile, countertops, etc? That's a lot! We did the cabinets and countertops one night and then the flooring a week or so later. We did all the exterior including doors and windows in one night though.

We did. Our realtor just keeps laughing at how easily we've made all these decisions. DH likes to tell her it's because we've had 3 years of apartment living to figure out what we want and don't want.

Our agent and builder said we have done a great job making decisions as well. We managed to do the enter exterior in less than an hour and then the cabinets, countertops, and hardware in about an hour and a half. Flooring and our backsplash took only about 40 minutes. Honestly, flooring took like 15 minutes picking the backsplash was the hard part!
We are supposed to go and do lights this weekend. I'm pretty excited for this next step.
