NCR: Project re-landscape begins tomorrow!

Our yard is a MESS.  For the newbs...we bought a foreclosure back in Septmeber.  The interior was in good condition but the yard had been neglected.  The back is WAY worse than the front, but since the front is our "public" face, we are starting there.  All the bushes and a few straggly trees are being torn out and we are starting fresh (with a few exceptions).  We are also getting an irrigation system and our landscaper thinks that we can force the Bermuda to overtake the weeds over time and not have to re-sod.  Cheesy me was out there taking "before" pictures late this afternoon since demo begins in the morning.

I know it has nothing to do with crafting, but the board is slow and I am excited so you got to hear about it :)

  • Oooooh I can't wait for pics!
  • How exciting! :) It took me two years to sort out the mess that was my lawn! LOL Foreclosure is hard on grass.

  • Good luck! We've been working on ours (to sell our house) and my H has ripped out a lot of overgrown boxes of weed and redone the timbers. I got out of all the work except for one box in the front that I did about 2 months ago with a friend.

  • Yay!  Ours wasn't a foreclosure, but larger half of the backyard is a no man's land that will require a lot of skid steer loader working and a whole lot of grass seed or sod.  We're putting it off until next year. :-)

  • Nice!! We just moved last Fall, too, so it was such a relief to finally get the beds cleaned up and pretty. It was crazy how overgrown it was!
  • I always have trouble in the shady spots of my backyard. Everything seems to die and it makes for a messy, not put together look. Can't wait to see what you do with yours!
