Please recommend your iron
I need to replace our iron. DH bought it when he was single and freely admits he bought the cheapest thing he could find. I would like to spend no more than $50 and would like to get the best quality in my price range. I don't iron often, but sometimes DH will have a cotton button down or pair of linen pants that need some pressing. I also have some cotton place mats and table cloth and napkins that I will need to iron. I appreciate any suggestions! TIA!
Re: Please recommend your iron
We have a Rowenta, they are amazing, the ones made in Germany are the best. However, we only justified spending $100 on an iron since DH uses one every single day.
We're Married!! And I couldn't be happier!
I sew as well. All irons are not created equal. Rowenta is an excellent choice- better to buy one than a cheapie every couple years.

This model is the cheapest of the German models, I'd avoid the less expensive Chinese versions. T-Fal makes a nice iron, but most of these come out of China as well and don't seem to hold up as well as the old French-made ones.
