Re: Massage Therapist comes to office

  • OMG! I'm so jealous!  I last got a massage in March, and I'm dying from tension.  If the massage is good, definitely tip!  If it's not good, tip less generously.

I'm SO hoping for a spa GC for Christmas so I can get a freaking massage.

  • It depends - is this an employee of a business or does s/he run her own business?

According to Miss Manners, it's insulting to tip a business owner because you would be treating them like a common wage-earner.  She also points out that business owners would happily be offended but she won't sanction it.

  • Well I tipped five on top of the fee. I think it's his own business but unsure. Oh well, I feel much better now!
