Gulf Shores Airport Question??
So it seems that Pensacola Airport is the airport that services the Gulf Shores area, however from Nashville the flights are around $400 a person. Flying into Panama City on Southwest is about $200 a person. The flight is around 1hr 15 mins. Do people fly into Panama City and drive to Gulf Shores. I've just started to research this vacation for next year so I'm sure I'll have more questions.
Thanks.
Re: Gulf Shores Airport Question??
We always drive in, but we have family members who sometimes fly. They usually fly into either Pensacola or NOLA. NOLA's further but cheaper from the state they're flying from. YMMV, but it's probably worth checking the flight prices to see what's most affordable.

We usually drive but I have flown before.. I would suggest Pensacola over Mobile. The airport in Mobile is on the other side of town from the beach and it seems like it takes FOREVER to get from MOB to Gulf Shores. Pensacola, on the other hand, doesn't seem that long. It might just be my perception but that's my two cents... we are headed down in two weeks.. my ILs bought a beautiful condo at auction when the economy tanked and we love it there!
