Nfbr: Has anyone read both the Sookie Stackhouse series AND Fifty Shades of Grey?

I?m eagerly looking forward to reading my next series and not sure which one to pick. Can you help compare b/w the 2 series? Likes/dislikes? Thoughts?

Re: Nfbr: Has anyone read both the Sookie Stackhouse series AND Fifty Shades of Grey?

  • I'm just starting 50 Shades of Grey so I can't really give an opinion on that, but I've read the Sookie Stackhouse series and I really liked it.  I get really bored with reading so most of the time I don't finish a book, but the Sookie books really kept my attention and I actually got through them pretty quickly...for me anyway lol.
  • Speaking of Sookie Stackhouse, she is the cutest pregnant lady (Anna Paquin). I love that her and Vampire Bill are married IRL.

  • I've read all the Sookie books and am about 100 pages into 50 shades.  50 shades is written so poorly, so I would definitely say start with Sookie.

  • I own all the Sookies and have read them twice. don't waste your money on 50Shades, you can google "Master of the Universe" pdf and read it for free.

I've read all the Sookie books & I'm on the 3rd 50 Shades book. They're not really comparable, IMO. Neither are literary masterpieces, but both are entertaining.

This exactly ,also I think 50 Shades is a little more graphic than Sookie
