TGIF, ladies! What are your plans for the weekend?
Re: Happy Friday!
We're going to dinner with friends tonight to celebrate some birthdays. Tomorrow we have our neighbor's engagement party. Sunday is a memorial for my brother's friend who died.
I need to sneak in some serious cleaning time too.
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
Going down to VA to spend the weekend with my husband. We might go see some plantations or something tomorrow depending on the weather. Maybe we'll be able to have lunch/dinner with some friends who live in the area either tomorrow or Sunday.
Side note - Kate, your blog post this morning has me drooling! I so need to make those cookies ASAP!
I have this trip coming up tomorrow. Not sure if I have mentioned it to you ladies or not
I have never been this excited for a vacation
Tonight we are having cake for my grandmother's birthday. I have to finish packing and cleaning up the house. We leave for the airport around noon tomorrow.
I'm home today (on Fridays I'm a sub, and no call for today!) so I'm going to try to get a little cleaning done today, and hopefully apply to a few more jobs for next year.
This weekend I am hoping that the sun finally comes out, I don't think we've seen it since last weekend, and if it actually does, we are planning to do some yard work. Since we've moved in we have cleared most of our jungle yard, but there's still a couple of spots that need work. I also got some perennials from my co-workers yard yesterday, so I would like to plant those, and then get our raised beds set up for our veggie garden. I'm also thinking I should probably put the lettuce, spinach and broccoli outside, but the plants are still so small (started from seeds) that I don't know if they are ready. We are also not home the next two weekends after this, though, so if I don't do it now I don't know when I will.
Today I have an Dr appointment for Kenzie in the next town over. I am hating the doctor I switched to for my pregnancy in the city so I'm going back - I'd rather drive 1/2 hour and see a doctor I like. Then I'm going to visit with my Grandma and sister and niece.
Saturday is my birthday so we are going to hang out at home I think for most of the day, not too sure if DH has anything planned. Then we are going out for dinner with a bunch of friends and maybe back to our place afterwards for a few drinks.
Sunday - supposed to be going to a BBQ for my friend's son's 5th birthday, but that will all depend on how I'm feeling after Saturday
I am so envious of you ladies who still have grandparents!
Today after work I'm hitting the gym and fertilizing all my rose bushes
Tomorrow were going to a pick up party at a winery in Santa Barbara. Stopping on the way home to help my brother pick up some new clothes for a big internship he was hired for this summer down in LA. And of course the gym!
Sunday: gym and ???
I have to work all weekend to make up for the fact that I'll be gone the last half of the week because I'm going to Vegas with my BFF! The best part is that DH will be in Vegas also on a business trip, and his hotel and ours are neighbors!!! Score!
Other than that, I just ordered two of Yvonne's dresses from Target, (the short ones), plus an extra one that has a cute, tied sash. Hopefully they get here on time because the weather looks like it's going to be 90-100 degrees. This New Englander is going to melt!
Sounds like you ladies have fun weekends coming up!
I have nothing planned and that sounds awesome!! I'm looking forward to spending some time with DH, as it's been while since we've both been home.
I subbed this morning. It was just a half day so I got E. He won't nap now because he is excited I am home. Tonight we are taking him to the Circus.
Tomorrow we don't have any plans.
Sunday: Church, laundry, normal Sunday stuff.
Tonight: I'll be attending a student recognition banquet for the college (8.5 hours until I can put sweatpants on).
Tomorrow: DH and I are spending the day together! We haven't seen each other much lately, so I'm really looking forward to it!
Sunday: Possibly going to a Maine's Got Talent thing to watch a friend perform, and then the usual laundry & dinner at my parents'.
Tonight: Do groceries with my mom and buy a wedding present for some friends, rush home and entertain MIL, MIL's bf, FIL, FIL'S gf, and BIL (DH says he's going to order pizza so at least I don't have to cook), DH gets off work at 8, hopefully we'll have time to watch at least one episode of Heroes after the 4 in-laws leave.
Tomorrow: a bit of laundry and cleaning, going to friends wedding and reception
Sunday: church, maybe more cleaning

My Blog
We are about to head out to see Kevin Hart. We've been looking forward to this for a while!
This weekend E is working overtime and it will just be Lucas and I. We have a fun filled weekend planned. We are going to a couple baseball games, 2 cinco de mayo festivals, cousins birthday parties, car wash, getting E's car inspected and trying to sneak in cleaning and laundry. Then Sunday I have my coed softball game that I'm not sure E will be off in time to play. We are going to be pooped!
Tonight is just vegging out. I'm eating my Mediterranean chicken, hummus, garlic and rice in a pita... YUM!!! Watching TV, probably going to finish a power point?
Tomorrow: Sleep in and gotta clean up the backyard. I'm going to get my tires replaced and an oil change, take the girls to the dog park with Jacob and then we're going to go to dinner and see a movie tomorrow night.
Sunday: Church and probably out with friends afterwards
