Clean eating meal plans?

Hi,

I'm interested to start clean eating. Could you share your meal plans or favorite recipes? I'm embarrassed to say that I'm having difficulting coming up with 7 days of meals with nothing processed... :)

TIA

Re: Clean eating meal plans?

  • I'm a terrible meal planner, so I can't offer personal experience. But if you see a Clean Eating magazine in the store, definitely flip through. It always has meal plans plus the corresponding recipes.

Here is a link to some of its plans online:

Sorry--my computer is not wanting to hyperlink.

    Hope this helps!

  • Here is a start -

tonight we are having Taco Salad

    Ground turkey breast

    homemade taco seasoning

    salad greens

    black beans(cooked from a bag)

    plain greek yogurt

    homemade salsa

    avocado diced

    quinoa

    Maybe cheese

Taco Seasoning...?6 teaspoons chili powder ?5 teaspoons paprika ?4.5 teaspoons cumin ?2.5 teaspoons onion powder ?.5 teaspoons garlic powder ?.125 teaspoons cayenne pepper ?1 teaspoon salt (or to taste) ?.5 teaspoon black pepper....Keep in refrigerator. Divide into thirds.  Makes equivalent of 3 taco seasoning packets.

  • I don't really meal plan, and when I plan ahead it usually means eating the same thing for a week. Anyway, if you eat a lot of pasta, try quinoa or brown rice instead. You can have it with vegetables prepared however with some clean pasta sauce. I also do a lot of clean baking - a lot of recipes are fairly straightforward to make clean. Substitute in whole wheat pastry flour, honey for sugar, applesauce for canola oil (there seems to be disagreement about whether canola is good or bad).

There are also a lot of clean eating blogs out there that have good recipes, like http://www.thegraciouspantry.com/ or http://www.thecleaneatingmama.com/
