Do you think Halos are classic style or very trendy?
It's been years that I have been wanting to change the setting my e-ring, so I can wear it more often, and I am attracted to these two settings:
#1

or #2

Re: s/o Halo E-Rings
I think the pics above are too much IMO.
Ohhhhh...I love #2! Plus I think it would be easier to get your wedding band to sit flush with it as opposed to #1.
I think they're pretty classic and I love the antique look they add to a ring.

What about just adding little diamonds on the band? Like this....
Ohhh...I like this one too. Is it from BlueNile?
I had it pinned on pinterest but you can find this on bluenile and a lot of other sites
See, I think a thin band is so delicate and feminine! Are you worried about it being damaged?
I think halos are definitely trendy, but I think they'll be around for a while longer. I just think that in 10 years that will be a typical setting of the early 2000's (haha don't know how else to put that) just like you can tell a setting from the 80's etc.
My engagement ring is art deco, so it will never really be "trendy", but I feel like there has been a resurgence of antique designs in engagement rings in the last decade or so.
This is pretty.
I know exactly what you mean! I see some ladies at work and I know their rings were considered pretty in the 80s and 90s, but it looks totally dated now.
I think they are a classic design that is very trendy right now. I think in the future, they will scream late-2000s/early-2010s engagement/wedding.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...if that is the design you love, then you should have it.
I have a very thin band (with micropave diamonds) and a solitaire that is quite large and I love it! I think there is no better way to showcase a larger stone. I was attracted to the look of halos but I think if you already have a larger solitaire, it's nice to let it stand on its own. It doesn't need the extra help, you know?

I think it's trendy & dated looking.
I also tend to think that people with halo rings are trying to fake the funk and pretend they have a bigger diamond.
I moved my engagement diamond to a halo setting about a year and a half ago. I love it and don't think it's trendy at all. Was I trying to make my diamond look bigger? Not consciously.
But...I did it as a 10th anniversary gift to myself, and I wear it on my right hand so it's not screaming "engagement ring" any more to anybody. I don't know if I'd have wanted that when I was still in the mood to wear my wedding band and ering as a set on my left hand. Or even alone on my right hand when I was newly married. After wearing it for 12 years, though, I'm a lot more ok with something different (in fact, I really wanted a change, and thought about it for a year before I actually did it). If I ever do start to think it's trendy or dated, I'll just switch it again. I still have the old setting put away, or I can go for something new again.
I think an emerald-cut diamond with a halo is a classic style. Not sure about a round diamond, however.
