Does anyone have their own (or small biz) website?
Can you recommend a host? I have a friend who did her (recruiting firm's) website through go.daddy - and IMO it svcked! It was very slow, and I know she paid for a premium package. Obviously the design she did herself, but it took forever for everything to load.
I have also checked out intuit - but while that was better, it was more expensive, too.
DH had a bad experience with Vista on another matter, so I'm not sure he wants to use them, either! He has his own consulting business, but is not making a lot of $$ and is trying to find a full time job in the meantime - - so I'm not sure we want to committ to paying a premium price.
TIA!

godaddy. i've used them for at least 5 years. never had a problem with latency. support is quite good. and the login panel is very intuitive. they have lots of analytics tools too. it's a good option. regardless of their awful commercials...
my guess is your friend's site is either graphics heavy, she has lots of ads or other plugins running on her site.
